(Rising Sun, Ind.) - A fundraiser is underway to support the family of a Rising Sun kindergarten student recently diagnosed with a sudden illness.
Weston James is battling guillain-barré syndrome (GBS), a rare, autoimmune disorder where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the peripheral nervous system.
He was initially placed on a ventilator, but has since had it removed.
However, his recovery is far from over, and he has a long, uncertain road ahead.
A GoFundMe is supporting the James family with medical expenses, living costs, and more. For more information and to donate to the GoFundMe, click below.
Another way to help is to purchase a t-shirt of hoodie through Quick Sports at https://quicksports.co/westonswarriors/shop/home.
