(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Community members are coming together to help the family of Stacy Mondal.

The 40-year-old mother of five was allegedly shot and killed by her husband on Monday morning while they were traveling in their vehicle near the Indiana/Ohio state line.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Rachel Reynolds, who says Stacy was “the heart and soul of her family.”

“We tragically lost a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was the heart and soul of her family. Her unwavering love and devotion to her children were evident in her constant presence on the sidelines, cheering them on in all their endeavors. Family gathers held a special place in Stacy’s heart, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate life’s precious moments with her loved ones. As a daughter, sister to three brothers, and a terrific aunt, she brought immense joy and warmth to her family,” said Reynolds.

The GoFundMe has been set up to help Stacy’s children have the opportunity to thrive and grow. Her children are ages 17, 15, 11, and 1 and 2 months.

Burg Nutrition is also helping to support her family through a donation drive. They are seeking size 1 and 3 diapers, Enfamil Gentle Ease Baby Formula, baby wipes, and gift cards (specifically Kroger, Amazon and Walmart).
