(Friendship, Ind.) - The Friendship State Bank has been honoring the legacy of the Wilke S. and James W. Lemon with a scholarship for over 20 years.
This year the community bank will award nine high school seniors a $1,000 scholarship for college. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 5.
Seniors from Batesville, Jac-Cen-Del, Rising Sun, Milan, South Dearborn, South Ripley, Switzerland County, Madison and Lawrenceburg are eligible to apply. Seniors will need to complete the application and write a short essay describing a community activity that made the biggest impact on them personally or on their community.
