As of the November Municipal Election, 61 of Indiana's 92 counties used vote centers.
(Brookville, Ind.) – Things will be different for Franklin County voters when they go to the polls in 2024.
Franklin County Commissioners recently approved a change from 13 polling places to five vote centers.
As of the November Municipal Election, there were 61 of Indiana’s 92 counties that used vote centers, which offer flexibility and convenience to voters by allowing them to cast a ballot at any county location of their choosing on election day.
Franklin County will have five vote centers at the following locations:
- Batesville Ignite Church (State Road 229)
- Brookville American Legion
- Metamora Church of God
- New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department
- Springfield Community Church
Registered voters will also be offered the opportunity to vote early in-person at the courthouse.
Franklin County is the third county in southeast Indiana to adopt vote centers. Switzerland County was the first back in 2012, followed by Dearborn County in 2019.
