Former RCCF Intern Selected as Ripley Co. Ambassador at Ball State

The County Ambassador Program empowers students to become champions for the places they call home.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that its former intern, Delyla Wonnell, has been selected to serve as the Ripley County Ambassador through Ball State University’s County Ambassador Program.

Wonnell, a senior at Ball State University and graduate of Batesville High School, will represent Ripley County on campus while promoting the community as a place to live, work, and thrive after graduation.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the Ripley County Ambassador at Ball State,” Delyla said. “Ripley County is full of rich history, unique characteristics, and exciting opportunities for the future. I am look forward to sharing with others what makes our community such an exceptional place to build a life and a career.”

Launched in 2023, Ball State University’s County Ambassador Program connects students with their home community across Indiana. As a County Ambassador, Wonnell will receive professional development training and learn how to communicate the value of Indiana communities. She will work closely with local leaders and organizations to showcase Ripley County’s assets, including career opportunities, recreational amenities, cultural attractions, and quality of place initiatives.

Throughout the academic year, Wonnell will engage with fellow Ball State students, participate in ambassador training programs, create social media content, and promote the opportunities that make Ripley County an exceptional place to build a career and a life.
