Former Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Passes Away

Our condolences to the Roberts family.

(Brookville, Ind.) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of retired Sheriff’s Deputy John Roberts.

The Sheriff’s Department announced his passing on Sunday.

Roberts began his career with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in 2003 and retired from duty in February of 2024.

“Deputy Roberts was the true definition of a public servant and devoted his life to his community and family. Deputy Roberts will be missed greatly, and we wish to extend our deepest condolences to his family,” reads a statement from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
