(Florence, Ky.) – A Florence man has been arrested for inappropriate communication with a minor.
Stephen Herald, 44, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with Promoting a Minor in Sex Performance (Class B Felony), and Prohibited Use to Electronic Communication to Procure a Minor in a Sexual Performance (Class C Felony).
Boone County Sheriff's Detectives received a report on Monday that an adult male was communicating with a juvenile victim and wanting her “to do things she did not want to do.”
The investigation showed that Herald had embarrassing information about the victim and in exchange for not disclosing the information, he wanted the victim to perform sexual acts in his presence.
Herald primarily communicated with the victim by way of text message and later admitted that what he was saying to the victim was inappropriate.
The bond issued on the warrant is $100,000, secured by cash.
