(Florence, Ky.) - A Florence man is scheduled to face a judge today, accused of threatening Hamilton County government buildings.
Florence Police say Allan C. Summers recently posted threats to bomb the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office, public defender’s office, courthouse, and justice center on Facebook.
Capt. Tom Grau said police were alerted to the online threats by a concerned citizen. Summers’ posting warned his friends and family to stay away from the courthouse on July 9.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was immediately notified, Grau said.
Summers was arrested at his workplace Monday and police have searched his home and car.
The 51-year-old Summers is charged with Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree. He is held at the Boone County Jail.
According to reports, Summers was arrested in Hamilton County in 2008.
