End of an Era: Margaret Mary Health Releases Tribute Video Ahead of Move to New Hospital

The old hospital has served the community for nearly a century

(Batesville, Ind.) - Margaret Mary Health is reflecting on its past before starting a new era at their brand-new hospital. 

A video tribute to the hospital that has served the community for over 90 years was released by Margaret Mary Health on Friday morning. 

"For nearly a century, this hospital has been more than a building. It has been the place where lives began, healing happened and memories were made."

Margaret Mary Health will transition to their new $125 million hospital at 1155 State Road 229 North in Batesville when it officially opens for patient care on Saturday, August 8 at 6:00 a.m.

Indiana Governor Mike Braun was in Batesville last week for a Grand Opening Celebration. He stated the following: 

"Margaret Mary Health's new hospital is a tremendous example of what can happen when communities invest in their own future. Through Indiana's READI initiative, we partnered with local leaders to support projects that strengthen regional economies and improve quality of life,” said Governor Braun. “This investment will help ensure families across southeastern Indiana have access to exceptional healthcare close to home while creating opportunities that will benefit this region for generations."
