A letter was sent to parents and students on Thursday outlining future plans.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Some tough decisions have been made regarding East Central High School graduation and prom.
Superintendent Andrew Jackson sent out a letter to parents and students and Thursday outlining the school corporation’s plans.
“After much consideration, we have reluctantly decided we will not be able to have a traditional graduation,” said Jackson.
The East Central High School Graduation Committee is meeting to develop a plan for a virtual graduation ceremony that will be broadcast on YouTube on June 7 at 2:00 p.m. That so happens to be the original graduation date and time.
In addition, all seniors will receive a free yard sign sponsored and paid for by student council.
As for prom, the original date was set for April 17. Prom will not be rescheduled for May or later this summer. Instead, the Class of 2020 will be permitted to attend prom in 2021.
