The fire took place in the area of 60 West on County Road 800 South.

(Friendship, Ind.) – Two local fire departments were dispatched to a fully involved structure fire early Wednesday morning.
Friendship Volunteer Fire Department and Versailles Fire Rescue responded to the fire in the area of 60 West on County Road 800 South.
Upon arrival, the structure was fully involved and collapsed. The structure and its contents were a total loss. A three-car garage and a pickup truck suffered minor damage from the intense heat.
The lone occupant was awakened by a smoke detector and was able to evacuate without injury.
According to Friendship Volunteer Fire, approximately 18,000 gallons of water were used to extinguish the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
