Eagle 99.3 Announces HS Football Schedule

photo courtesy Reggie Owens (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Another thrilling season of southeast Indiana high school football will be heard on Eagle 99.3 this fall.   As teams prepare for the upcoming season with workouts and two-a-days starting August 5, the southeast Indiana’s best high school sports station will be preparing to spotlight one area high school football game each Friday night.   The season will begin Friday, August 23 with the Battle of U.S. 50 as Lawrenceburg kicks off its season against rival South Dearborn at Dick Meador Stadium. This year, the game is the kickoff to the Crosstown Showdown, a 16-year-old showcase of the best high school football rivalries in the tri-state.   Week 2 coverage will feature the border war between East Central and Harrison on the Trojans’ home field in St. Leon.   The weekend of September 20 and 21 will bring a double-header of local football. On Friday, East Central and Batesville will meet in a showdown of Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference favorites. Then Saturday afternoon, Eagle 99.3 travels to Indianapolis where Lawrenceburg and Franklin County face off in the Big Rivals Night at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.   The full Eagle 99.3 High School Football broadcast schedule can be viewed below or visiting our local sportscast schedule webpage. Pregame coverage will begin approximately 20 minutes prior to kickoff each game.   Eagle 99.3’s coverage will continue as long as local teams advance in the IHSAA State Football Tournament, from the sectional first round all the way through the state finals.   All games will be announced by two sportscasters from the station’s roster of Mike Perleberg, Chuck Thomas, Pete Arnold, and others.   Businesses interested in sponsoring Eagle 99.3 High School Sports in 2013-2014 should contact the station’s sales staff.
