Stateline Road through downtown Bright.
(Bright, Ind.) - Dearborn County continues to move on a facelift for Stateline Road through downtown Bright.
County engineer Todd Listerman says the county is still negotiation acquisition of right of way with some property owners.
The $2 million, locally-funded project to widen Stateline Road to expand the road from two lanes to include a center turn lane is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2013.
Listerman says the widened road will stretch from 300 feet south of Salt Fork Road to 300 feet north of Jamison Road. Stateline Road will remain open during construction.
New curbs and gutters will be installed, along with sidewalks. A new storm water collection system will fix the problem of ponding on the road when rain falls.
