By Indiana Department of Transportation, news release

A slide correction project continues in Franklin County.

(Franklin County, Ind.) - The official state detour route for the U.S. 52 closure between New Trenton and Cedar Grove will change next week due to daily closures scheduled on S.R. 46.

U.S. 52 closed in June for approximately 90 days for slide correction work and will reopen with a temporary traffic signal in September.

The original detour for the closure included S.R. 46 to S.R. 1, but traffic will reroute to I-74 next week due to daily closures on the S.R. 46 bridge over the Whitewater River in Dearborn County. The bridge is scheduled to close each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2.

The detour route will return to S.R. 46 following completion of the bridge inspection.

Detour signage will be present on affected state routes.
