The life-saving measure was used on Sunday.

(Jennings County, Ind.) - It was Sunday, September 14 when deputies from the Jennings County Sheriff's Office responded to a medical emergency in the eastern part of Jennings County after receiving a 911 call of a male choking.
Upon arrival, deputies quickly assessed the situation and immediately began life-saving efforts.
Utilizing both the Heimlich Maneuver and the LifeVac device, deputies were able to successfully dislodge the obstruction and restore the victim’s ability to breathe.
"The LifeVac tool has proven to be a valuable resource for the Sheriff’s Office, providing deputies with an additional method to aid in critical life-saving measures. This incident highlights the importance of equipping law enforcement officers with the tools and training needed to respond to emergencies in the community," reads a statement from the Jennings County Sheriff's Office.
