(Carroll County, Ky.) - A death investigation is underway after the body of Emily Proctor was found in Carroll County.
Proctor, 26, of Madison had been missing since Saturday, April 13 when she exited a vehicle operated by a family member and ran into a wooded area.
A search was conducted following her disappearance and her body was located four days later near the intersection of KY 36 and Hampton Lane.
A cause of death is pending an autopsy. No foul play is suspected.
This was not the first time that Proctor was the subject of a missing persons case. She was reported missing from Switzerland County last summer before being located in Texas.
