News release from Dearborn County Traffic Safety Partnership
(Dearborn County, Ind.) - For their outstanding efforts in traffic safety, the Dearborn County Traffic Safety Partnership, consisting of the Lawrenceburg, Greendale, and Aurora Police Departments, were awarded Outstanding Traffic Safety Partnership from the Governor’s Council on Impaired & Dangerous Driving.
More than 60 state and local law enforcement agencies were recognized at the 17th annual Operation Pull Over Awards Banquet, which recognizes agencies that participate in federally funded traffic safety initiatives such as Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. Statewide, more than 260 agencies participate in various Operation Pull Over enforcement efforts.
“We are grateful for this accommodation and are proud to be part participate in Operation Pull Over efforts,” said Sgt. Brian Miller. “Keeping Dearborn County’s roadways safe has always been a priority, but to be acknowledged for those efforts is definitely an honor,” he added.
“Operation Pull Over” efforts are supported by funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) specifically to conduct traffic safety enforcement.
