Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation Named 2020 Top-Rated Nonprofit

Congratulations to the Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation!

(Batesville, Ind.) – The Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation, Inc. has been named a “2020 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits, GreatNonprofits.

“We are honored to be named a 2020 Top-Rated Nonprofit,” says Director Betty Bourquein.

The Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation provides grants to teachers in local schools for "innovative and creative" projects. Recently, the Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation awarded fifteen grants for the upcoming school year.

With help from Dearborn Community Foundation and many "faithful and generous" business partners, the foundation was able to support teachers even through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The award received by the Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation was given based on the rating and number of reviews from volunteers, donors and aid recipients.

“The Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Their award is a well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with The Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation.”
