(Bright, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office responded to two separate suspicious activity situations in the area of the Picnic Lawn Apartments in Bright.

The incidents took place on May 2 and May 6 and have been investigated to the fullest by Dearborn County detectives.

The Sheriff's Office released a statement on Friday, stating, "we are confident that both of these incidents were not that of attempted child abductions."

While there is no direct threat, the Sheriff's Office has increased patrols in the area out of precaution.

Local residents are reminded to report suspicious activity at any time by contacting Dearborn County Dispatch or 911.
