Dearborn Co. Chamber Announces 2023 Women of Distinction Award Recipients

The Women of Distinction Luncheon will be held September 28 at the Lawrenceburg Event Center.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - For the 17th year in a row, Civista Bank and the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce will be honoring local individuals for their fantastic contributions to the community. After considered deliberation from the all-female selection committee comprised of past winners and area leaders, we are excited to announce this year’s honorees! Congratulations to Sheryl Haag Miller, Liz Sedler and Darci Bayne, your 2023 Dearborn County Women of Distinction!

We are excited to announce that we will be honoring these women at the annual Women of Distinction Luncheon on September 28th at the Lawrenceburg Event Center. The lunch will begin at 11:30 and you can register here or by calling the Chamber at 812-537-0814.

Sheryl Haag Miller

  • Sheryl was nominated by Suzzi Romines for her giving spirit, dedication to numerous organizations and causes throughout the county, and thriving as a business owner. Sheryl, owner/principal at Haag Ford, has worked hard to create a positive environment for her employees while thriving in a male dominated industry.

Liz Sedler

  • Liz was nominated by Karen Snyder for her collaborative spirit and dedication to Dearborn County in volunteering for several boards throughout the area. Through her organization, Archaeological Research Institute, Liz has engaged volunteers and students through STEM activities to teach the rich history of Southeast Indiana.

Darci Bayne

  • Darci was nominated by Steve Kelly for her dedication, compassion and leadership as the Dearborn County Regional Veterans Treatment Court Coordinator. Darci also serves as the Coordinator for the Dearborn County Superior Court 1 Drug Court program. She has displayed a commitment to and compassion for addressing the unique challenges faced by veterans within the legal system.

The Chamber would like to give a special thanks to Civista for making this event possible. Their contributions to not only the Chamber and business community but to all of Southeast Indiana has been a driving force in ensuring the county thrives. We sincerely appreciate their continued support.
