(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The City of Rising Sun has announced new dates for the annual Navy Bean Fall Festival.

This year’s event will take place Friday, September 16 from 3:30 to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 17 from noon to 11:00 p.m.

While the event will take place earlier than usual, attendees will still enjoy various food vendors, the famous Navy Bean soup, rides, live entertainment and more.

Event organizers have secured Kristine Kabbes and The Skallywags as one of the several bands expected to be in attendance. A full list will be announced at a later date.

The Navy Bean Festival Parade is another staple of the two-day event with the parade kicking off festivities on the morning of Saturday, September 17.

Local businesses are invited to participate in the parade, and prizes will be given out for multiple categories.

Vendors are also needed for the festival. Applications are available at www.cityofrisingsun.com.
