(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Community Spirit Credit Union is stepping up to help a local family in need.

The credit union on Industrial Drive in Lawrenceburg is taking donations to assist the family of Cyndi Stryznski.

Stryznski, a first grader at Aurora Elementary School, was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children.

As a result, she had to have a kidney removed. Stryznski has completed eight rounds of radiation treatments and is currently going through chemotherapy. Her last treatment is scheduled for April 28.

If all goes well, she hopes to be able to go back to school for the last week of the year.

For every dollar donated, donor may put an entry in to receive an Easter basket.

Donations will support the Stryznski family with expenses going back and forth to Childrens Hospital.
