(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Nick Thomas was known for his big heart, quick wit, and dedication to his community.
On Sunday, around a year after his passing, a special ceremony was held to unveil Nick Thomas Way at Euphemia Street in downtown Lawrenceburg.
Thomas, a Lawrenceburg native, passed away last July at the age of 30 after a battle with lung cancer as a non-smoker.
He proudly served his community as a reserve officer and often was a smiling face that community members came accustomed to seeing at Lawrenceburg events. He was also a beloved General Manager at Mike's Car Wash.
Sunday's event featured speeches from Mayor Kelly Mollaun and Thomas' friends and family.
