Cherry Thing-A-Lings Draw A Crowd To Batesville

Schmidt's Bakery is going to sell tens of thousands of their signature treats this President's Day weekend.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - The cherry thing-a-lings are back.

Schmidt Bakery in Batesville is now selling their coveted cherry-glazed fritters as they do once a year on President’s Day weekend.

Last year, the bakery sold 82,908 thing-a-lings. Sales have been brisk to start this year’s sale, too.

Eagle Country 99.3’s Kacie Jackson visited Schmidt Bakery earlier this week to take you behind the scenes at the bakery as they prepare for their big weekend. Watch the video above.

The City of Batesville is even holding a festival, including an ice skating rink, to celebrate the cherry thing-a-ling event this weekend.
