CES Christmas Essay Contest Winners Honored At Christmas Tree Lighting

The City of Lawrenceburg sponsors the annual Christmas Essay Contest.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Nine Central Elementary School students were recognized by the City of Lawrenceburg for their highly entertaining and heartfelt essays. 

Each holiday season, the City of Lawrenceburg sponsors the annual Christmas Essay Contest for CES students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.

This year’s topic was “What is the one thing you want for Christmas and why?”

After reading through over 300 submissions, Mayor Kelly Mollaun selected the following winners.

3rd Grade

  • Jace McAllister – 1st Place
  • Violette Mamoran – 2nd Place
  • Dylan Carr – 3rd Place

4th Grade

  • Jacqueline Gilmour – 1st Place
  • Giovanni Wang – 2nd Place
  • Zaden Adelsperger – 3rd Place

5th Grade

  • Isaiah Smith – 1st Place
  • Ryot Knue – 2nd Place
  • Mackenzie Scott – 3rd Place

The essay winners were recognized on Sunday at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Civic Park.
