Bright Community Festival & Parade Cancelled

The annual event was supposed to happen on July 24 & 25.

(Bright, Ind.) – One of the most popular summer events in Eagle Country has been cancelled.

The annual Bright Community Festival and the Bright Parade scheduled for July 24-25 will not go on due to COVID-19 concerns.

In a Facebook post Monday night, the festival committee cited “Governor Holcomb’s recent decision to hit pause on the Back on Track Plan for Indiana and the public safety regulations involved with social distancing, masks and sanitizing requirements would make it nearly impossible to ensure the safety of our patrons due to the large numbers of visitors in attendance.”

Next year’s Bright Community Festival is being planned for July 23-24.
