(Kenton County, Ky.) – A bridge overlay project on Interstate 71/75 and Interstate 275 starts today in Kenton County.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the project at the 71/75 and 275 interchange will include bridge overlays on the flyover and ground ramps, milling, joint replacement, and hydro blasting.
The following bridges are included in the project:
- I-275 westbound & eastbound
- I-71/75 northbound & southbound
- I-275 westbound to I-71/75 southbound
- I-275 eastbound to I-71/75 northbound
Crews are currently setting up lane closures on I-275 westbound. The left two lanes of I-275 westbound will be closed west of the exit to I-71/75 (83.25 mile point). The right lane of traffic will be maintained throughout the project area.
Work will begin on the left side of the bridge and will continue for approximately 60 days.
Motorists should expect traffic delays while the lane closures are in place.
The project is expected to be completed by November 30.
