The cross pays tribute to U.S. military members who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

(Aurora, Ind.) - A dedication of a Battlefield Cross will take place at the Huey Helicopter at Lesko Park in Aurora this Saturday, June 28.
The Battlefield Cross is to pay tribute to the men and women who made the supreme or ultimate sacrifice in their service to the United States of America.
The event will also feature a tribute to remember Lt. Col. John Borgman, a Green Beret legend, who served in the Special Forces for over 20 years in the U.S. Army.
The program will start at 3:30 PM and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Lary D. Fogle Chapter 71 and the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard will be there to fire the three volleys with the rifles and play Taps.
