Batesville Woman Gets Jail Time For Home Burglaries In Dearborn, Ripley Counties

The crimes were committed back in 2016.

Shannon Fledderman.

(Batesville, Ind.) - A Batesville woman will spend 10 years behind bars for her involvement in a scheme to steal medications for people’s homes in southeast Indiana.

Shannon Fledderman, 39, was arrested back in May of 2016 after burglarizing homes in Dearborn, Ripley and Decatur counties.

Fledderman recently pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and was sentenced to a total of 14 years behind bars with four years suspended to probation for crimes committed in Dearborn and Ripley counties, reports The Osgood Journal.

Ripley County Judge Jeffery Sharp noted mitigating factors that Fledderman has four children ages 10 to 21 and that she did not show any remorse for what she had done.

Fledderman was not alone in committing the burglaries. Christa Comer, a former employee at a Batesville hospital, aided Fledderman with the burglaries by providing information on places to steal pain medication…

Comer, 49, of Osgood, was sentenced this past August to 90 days in the Department of Corrections, followed by 21 months GPS monitoring and four years probation.
