Batesville Man Identified as Victim of Fatal Farming Accident

Multiple agencies responded to Vogt Farms on Friday.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - A Batesville man has been identified as the victim of a fatal farming accident. 

According to Ripley County Sheriff Rob Bradley, Jerry Vogt passed away on Friday at the age of 73. 

The accident took place at Vogt Farms on State Road 129 near Batesville. The Ripley County Sheriff's Office has not yet released a cause of death as the incident remains under investigation. 

Agencies responding included the Batesville Fire Department, Batesville Police Department, Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, and the Indiana State Police.
