(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County Communications dispatched law enforcement officers to the 5000 block of East State Road 46 early Saturday morning in reference to a physical altercation involving a firearm.
During the investigation, Ripley County Sheriff's deputies identified Trenton Kincade, 21, as the suspect.
A deputy requested consent to search the residence for the firearm believed to be involved in the incident. However, consent was denied.
A search warrant was applied for and granted to enter the residence. During the search, deputies allegedly located a Glock 17 Gen 5 handgun inside Kincade's bedroom.
He was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Confinement with a Deadly Weapon (Level 3 Felony), Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony), and Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony).
The investigation remains ongoing.
