Batesville HS Grad Receives Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship

(Brookville, Ind.) - A Batesville High School graduate has been named the recipient of a scholarship from the Indiana Sheriff's Association. 

This week, Franklin County Sheriff Peter Cates awarded a $750 scholarship on behalf of the Indiana Sheriffs' Association to Lane Mauer. 

Mauer is one of 40 individuals throughout the state to be awarded the scholarship for the next academic school year. 

He plans to attend Vincennes University, where he will major in Law Enforcement and Conservation.
