Batesville High School To Hold Virtual Graduation, Senior Caravan

"The “Senior Caravan” will be a unique opportunity for community members to salute those who comprise the Class of 2020."

(Batesville, Ind.) - Batesville High School seniors' commencement ceremony will look quite different this year.

BHS will hold the 110th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. as scheduled, but in a virtual format.

This decision was made to keep students, families, and staff safe. The lack of certainty a postponed graduation would happen was also a factor in making this decision.

The Commencement ceremony will be available through ETC Channel 900, YouTube, Batseville High School's Facebook, and the ISC Sports Network App.

On Friday, May 29,the community is invited to recognize the Class of 2020 in a "Senior Caravan." The Class of 2020 can be seen driving through the streets of Batesville at 5:00 p.m.

"The Batesville Community School Corporation recognizes the many hardships experienced by all students, particularly the Class of 2020, with the cancelation of many traditional year end events. The “Senior Caravan” will be a unique opportunity for community members to salute those who comprise the Class of 2020," says BHS Principal Andy Allen.

Starting at Batesville High School, the seniors will be taking the following route

  1. Exit BHS and proceed south on Huntersville crossing State Rd. 46
  2. Turn left at Columbus Ave, proceed through the front drive of BIS and BMS
  3. Turn right on Mulberry and proceed past The Memorial Pool
