Aurora, Lawrenceburg Mayoral Debates On Your Radio April 24

Eagle Country 99.3 and the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce are hosting the Dearborn County Debates live broadcast on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Voters in the cities of Lawrenceburg and Aurora can hear straight from the candidates for mayor on Eagle Country 99.3.

Our radio station is again teaming up with the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce to bring our listeners the Dearborn County Debates. The broadcast will take place live from the Eagle Country 99.3 studios on Wednesday, April 24 starting at 7:00 p.m. and continuing until about 9:00 p.m.

The broadcast will include debates for the following races. The candidates listed have been invited, but the list does not indicate the status of their commitment to appear.

  • Republican mayoral primary for City of Lawrenceburg – Kelly Mollaun, Mike Lawrence and Steve Linkmeyer
  • Democratic mayoral primary for City of Lawrenceburg – Dennis Carr and Aaron Cook
  • Republican mayoral primary for City of Aurora – Mark Drury and Patrick Schwing
  • Democratic mayoral primary for City of Aurora – Dan Valas and Melvin Kremer Jr.

Due to time constraints, the debate broadcast will not include candidates who are uncontested in the May primary election. For the same reason, we are not including debates for the many contested city council races in Aurora, Lawrenceburg and Greendale.

Co-moderating the debates will be Eagle Country 99.3 news director Mike Perleberg and Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Eric Kranz.

“Broadcasting local political debates has been a staple of our service to the community almost every election season for the past 10 years,” Perleberg said. “I look forward to helping voters get to know the candidates and where they stand on important local issues, so that they can cast an informed ballot.”

“I am always excited to participate in the candidate debates,” added Kranz. “We learn so much from these conversations and helping inform the voters of Dearborn County on the positions of their candidates is truly an honor. I look forward to getting a deeper perspective on each individual running for office.”

Eagle Country 99.3 and the chamber are welcoming citizens to submit questions for the mayoral candidates by Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. Go to our Contact Us page to submit a question. Be sure to specify which race your question pertains to. Questions will be reviewed for relevancy and importance by Eagle Country 99.3 news staff prior to the broadcast.
