(Aurora, Ind.) - The final days of the school year are being cherished by students at Aurora Elementary School.

According to the South Dearborn Community School Corporation, first grade student Cyndi Strzynski returned to school last week. Cyndi was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in October.

On April 28, Cyndi rang the bell for her last chemotherapy treatment.

As she returned to class, her classmates had a big party to celebrate.

Students made posters and cards and the entire school lined the hallways at AES as Cyndi and her classmates paraded through the halls.
