(Aurora, Ind.) - Nine local war heroes will be honored this week at the 114th Aurora Farmers Fair.
The annual War Veterans Presentation will take place Thursday, October 5 at 6:05 p.m. on Stage 1.
This year's honorees include six Vietnam Veterans, two World War II Veterans, and special recognition to Col. Lynn W. Rolf, Jr.
The six Vietnam Veterans receiving plaques on Thursday are Tim Albright, Jerry Eckerle, Jerry Hacker, Rick Sommer, Steve Utter, and Eric Smith. You can read about each of their military careers by clicking on their name.

J.C. Lewis and George Lingg will be recognized for their service during World War II. Both were previously honored during Lawrenceburg Fall Music Fest's Veterans Recognition Ceremony last month.
