(Sparta, Ky.) - The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office has announced that dozens of individuals have been arrested and charged for breaking into Kentucky Speedway.

It was several months ago when some influencers broke into Kentucky Speedway and posted videos to TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook claiming the speedway is abandoned.

In a press release this week, the Sheriff's Office shared a reminder that Kentucky Speedway is not abandoned and that the track still hosts driving schools and other various events.

"Certain parts of the property are rented out to other companies. Even if it was not in use, it is private property and is marked as such," reads a statement from the Sheriff's Office.

The unidentified individuals involved with the break in have been charged with trespassing and burglary.
