Arrest Made In Vevay Man's Stabbing

It was last Friday night when an officer made a traffic stop and found Bruce L. Thomas, 58, of Vevay, suffering from multiple stab wounds. On Monday, the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office announced that Tony A. McAlister, 51, also of Vevay, has been arrested and charged in connection with Thomas’ stabbing. McAlister is charged with Attempted Murder (Level 1 felony), Aggravated Battery (Level 3 felony), Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (Level 5 felony), Battery with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 felony), and OWI (Class C misdemeanor). He was in court Monday where a judge ordered him held on a $100,000 bond. Meanwhile, Thomas remains in critical condition at University of Louisville Hospital, the sheriff's department said Monday.
