Arrest Made In Burlington Double Homicide Case

(Boone County, Ky.) – A Cincinnati man has been arrested and charged for the murder of a northern Kentucky woman and her young son.

Joshua Ward, 48, was arrested by Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop that was conducted in Cincinnati around 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Ward was arrested on a warrant for the murders of Burlington residents Kelli Kramer, 31, and her nine-year-old son, Aiden, both of whom were shot to death around March 20.

Detectives working the case obtained the arrest warrant on Wednesday, and immediately sought to take Ward into custody.

According to Boone County Sheriff’s Office investigators, Ward was involved in an intimate relationship will Kelli Kramer from December 2016 to May 2017. The relationship was said to have ended abruptly, and that Ward believed Kramer was responsible for destroying his life.

Ward is charged with two counts of Murder (capital offense) and is currently being held in the Hamilton County Detention Center, where he awaits extradition to Kentucky.
