Area Students Earn Service Academy Nominations from Congresswoman Houchin

Four area students are one step closer from admission.

WASHINGTON – It was a big day for a handful of of area students.

Today, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) announced nominations for the United States Service Academies.

After reviewing applications and conducting interviews, Congresswoman Houchin nominated 18 young men and women from across the Ninth District.

While a nomination does not guarantee admission, nominations are required to be eligible for entrance into a service academy.

“It’s my honor to nominate this impressive group of students to serve in our U.S. Service Academies.
