High school seniors in Dearborn County are eligible to apply.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - One high school senior in Dearborn County will be awarded a $1,200 scholarship from Dearborn County CASA.
Applications will be accepted beginning March 1 with a deadline of April 12.
Students should write an essay reflecting your perspective on alcohol, vaping, tobacco, or other drugs. This can be a national, state, or local perspective or a personal narrative on specific experiences. Examples include Why do you choose to be drug free? What are the arguments to our community to address these issues? Or an similar themes pertaining to these issues.
The essay should be between 750 and 1,000 words.
Applicants must submit the essay with a signed letter from their guidance counselor stating the student:
- Has a 'C' or above GPA
- Does not have a record of suspensions or expulsions due to substance-related issues.
- Has been accepted to a college or technical school
