UPDATE: As of 7:30 a.m., all lanes have reopened on I-75 northbound. Traffic remains backed up into Kentucky.

CINCINNATI - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a traffic alert on a portion of Interstate 75 north of the Brent Spence Bridge.

The highway is blocked approximately 0.7 miles north of the Brent Spence Bridge on I-75 in Ohio due to high water. Crews are responding. Dispatch confirms that motorists are able to use the Brent Spence Bridge to I-71 (Fort Washington Way) to avoid the closure; however, traffic is backing up on to I-71/75 in Kenton County.

Avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

No timeline has been provided for when the road will reopen. KYTC will provide updates on social media once the road reopens to traffic.
