The need for additional camera came as result of remodeling projects throughout the school corporation.

(Milan, Ind.) – Over the summer and into the beginning of the 2021-22 school year, Milan Community Schools had major construction and renovation work done in both school buildings to update offices, restrooms, and roof.

As a result of the remodeling, there became a need for additional cameras to enhance security.

Thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation, the additional cameras were purchased from Great Plains Communications out of Batesville and were recently installed.

Superintendent Jane Rogers commented, “Once again, the generosity of the Rising Regional Foundation has enabled Milan Schools to purchase equipment vital to the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors.”

Over the last several years, the Rising Sun Regional Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in grant funding that has enabled Milan Schools to purchase safety and security technology that they might not have otherwise been able to purchase.
