(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Downtown Lawrenceburg will be filled with spectators for the second straight weekend when the Whiskey City Challenge rolls into town Friday. Last weekend, downtown Lawrenceburg welcomed tunnel boat hydroplanes for the inaugural Whiskey City Regatta. Now, the city is preparing to welcome spectators to the 2nd Annual Whiskey City Challenge, a U.S.A. Cycling Criterium Race scheduled for Friday, June 24. The “Dash for the Cash” event presented by Queen City Wheels includes a flat and very fast .67 mile loop through the streets of downtown Lawrenceburg. RELATED: Street Closures For Whiskey City Challenge Races begin on High Street at Vine and proceed west to Mary Street, right onto Mary Street, Mary to Center Street, right on Center, Center to Short Street, right on to Short, Short back to High Street, right back on to High. Admission is free for all ages. Racing begins at 5:00 p.m. The event will also feature live music and food and beverage vendors.
