17-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash

The crash took place near Holton on Friday afternoon.

(Holton, Ind.) – One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday.

Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the crash on Old Michigan Road around 5:30 p.m.

The preliminary investigation determined that a Ford Ranger, operated by a 17-year-old male, was traveling southbound, dropped off the road, and overcorrected before spinning out and striking an oncoming vehicle.

The 17-year-old male was transported from the scene to Margaret Mary Hospital with critical injuries.

The second driver was treated at the scene but denied transport.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
