RSRF is accepting applications for the next grant cycle.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - 17 new grants were awarded, totaling $271,954, in the second quarter by Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF).
Recipients include:
- $16,000 to Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation toward the replacement of a server;
- $9,300 to Jac-Cen-Del Community School Corporation toward the purchase and installation of vape detectors at the high school;
- $20,000 to the Rising Sun Police Department toward a new storage building;
- $4,966 to Ohio County Rescue for the purchase of training and reporting equipment;
- $5,000 to Ripley County Court Services for the purchase of bulletproof vests;
- $20,000 to Sunman Rural Fire Department toward the purchase of extrication equipment;
- $10,000 to Ohio County Commissioners toward the replacement of windows at this historic courthouse;
- $40,000 to the Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department toward the purchase of a new fire apparatus;
- $25,253 to the Town of Osgood for the purchase of an emergency generator;
- $4,735 to Ripley County Sheriff’s Office for K9 dog training equipment;
- $25,000 to the City of Batesville toward the development of a skatepark;
- $7,500 to Ohio County Historical Society as a matching grant for a state grant to develop an interactive schoolhouse;
- $10,000 to Youth Encouragement Services toward the purchase and installation of a new alarm system;
- $20,000 to Ohio County Highway Department toward the purchase of a track loader;
- $18,000 to Dearborn & Ohio Counties Prosecutor’s Special Crimes Unit toward equipment;
- $11,200 to Milan Community School Corporation toward court resurfacing and other improvements to the Hank Voss Basketball Court; and
- $25,000 to Ripley County Highway Department toward the purchase of a mowing/ditching tractor.
RSRF is accepting applications for the next round of grants through 4 p.m. on July 15, 2021.
