10th Annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS Raises $55K for ALS United Indiana

A check was presented to the organization on Wednesday night

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The 10th Annual Cruisin to a Cure for ALS in memory of Carlos Lawrence was a huge success.

On Wednesday night, event organizer Logan Lawrence presented a check to ALS United Indiana in the amount of $55,000.

The event, which took place on May 3, saw 825 vehicles register.

"Thank you again to everyone for all of the continued support and for helping spread ALS awareness. Hopefully someday in our lifetime we can see a cure for ALS. To all the businesses that support every year thank you for helping make it happen. Thank you to the City of Lawrenceburg for all the time and effort in helping prepare for the event each year. And most importantly thank you to the 80+ volunteers that donate their time every year to make it run as smooth as possible. A big thank you to my wife, Hannah, for all the help and long hours spending nights and weekends preparing," said Lawrence.

Lawrence started the car show 10 years ago as a sophomore in high school. Since then, the event has raised $360,000 to spread ALS awareness and to support ALS research.
