Kelly Clarkson Has Appendix Removed After BBMAs

Kelly Clarkson chose to put off the surgery for a few days.

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Kelly Clarkson is on the mend after having her appendix removed.

Hours after hosting the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday, Clarkson was rushed to a hospital in L.A. where she underwent surgery to have her appendix taken out.

She tweeted shortly afterward, "I'm feeling awesome now! Bye-bye appendix."

Apparently, the pop singer and coach on 'The Voice" had been suffering from appendicitis all week but chose to move forward with her hosting duties anyway.
