“Coming Home” features riffs from Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried,” as well as vocals from Julia Michaels.
Urban says “the Haggard guitar lick sparked memories of his childhood and his dream to come to America.”
He says he got blessings from Haggard’s widow, Theresa, and his son, Ben, before releasing the song.
