Grand Ole Opry To Honor Ray Charles

An American music icon will be honored at The Opry in September.

(Undated)  --  The Grand Ole Opry is paying tribute to the Father of Soul. 

"An Opry Salute to Ray Charles" will premiere nationwide on Thursday, September 5th. 

Nashville audiences can watch it this evening at Nashville Public Television. 

The special highlights Ray Charles' songs and his influence on country music.
